Domaine Tempier Bandol Rose
$ 50.46
- Domaine Tempier is one of Bandol’s benchmark estates, farmed by the Peyraud family since the 1830s and instrumental in establishing Bandol’s appellation in the 1940s. The vineyards sit on south‑facing limestone terraces near Le Castellet, where warm Mediterranean conditions and cooling sea breezes allow Mourvèdre to ripen fully while retaining structure. The domaine’s wines are known for clarity of fruit, firm regional identity and careful, traditional élevage. The Bandol Rosé is predominantly Mourvèdre with Cinsault and Grenache, pressed directly and fermented at cool temperatures. It shows clean red‑berry and citrus aromas, and a dry, precise palate with raspberry, grapefruit, light herbal notes and a gently savoury finish. Structured, balanced and food‑friendly, it reflects both the site and the domaine’s restrained style.
