This incense features a harmonious blend of woody and vanilla notes, beautifully complemented by the delicate essence of Champaka flower. Woody Champa is crafted with high-grade halmaddi sourced from Karnataka and sandalwood powder from Mysore, creating a fragrance that leans more toward woody tones than floral sweetness. This Nag Champa variation is ideal for those who appreciate Nag Champa but prefer a less sweet profile than the traditional varieties made in Bangalore. Experience the perfect harmony of woody and floral elements with Woody Champa Incense Sticks. Steve Pereira from the Incense in the Wind blog awarded this Nag Champa one of his highest review scores — 48 out of 50. Please read his review below: https://incenseinthewind.blogspot.com/2023/03/bg-pooja-store-nag-champa.html Mike from the the Olfactory Rescue Service informs: “Finally, in this group, is the somewhat humble Woody Champa, an incense that actually reminds me a bit of the Blue Pearl champa range both old and new. This isn’t as halmaddi squishy as, say, the Frank & Rose is, but you can definitely smell it on the stick. It does have a bit of a foresty vibe slightly reminiscent of the Balsamic Amber, and certainly the vanilla in the description is detectable, but ultimately the central champaca floral doesn’t get lost in its mildness. As someone who finds the Gold Nag Champa and variations a little bitter in places, I welcome a champa that is missing this element.” Full review is available here. Irene of a very popular Rauchfahne Incense review blog informs: “The sweetness in Woody Champa is different in character than other Nag Champas. I think this comes primarily from the distinct but not predominant vanilla note in it. It’s creamy, but not heavy and rich like cake cream, more like a really good vanilla milk pudding garnished with a few spices. Nevertheless, the Champaka note is clear and distinct, it just doesn’t play the first violin. The composition looks more like a trio, consisting of the floral aspect, the vanilla-sweet aspect and the woody base, which are perfectly balanced and harmonious.” Full review is available here: https://blog.rauchfahne.de/2023/11/17/bhagwan-woody-champa/
